Professor June Keeling has been a Registered General Nurse since 1988, and a Registered Midwife from 1998. Her first degree was a BSc (Hons) in Women’s Health and Health Research from the University of Liverpool, followed by a Masters in Professional Education and then a PhD. Her PhD explored women’s disclosure of domestic violence and interactions with statutory agencies. In 2015 she was awarded Senior Fellow of the HEA. In 2003 June was invited by the Inter-Ministerial Board to present research findings ‘Disclosure of domestic violence by women attending clinics within a large NHS Hospital’. In 2016, as an panel member, she spoke at the ‘Parliament, Policy and Sustainable Development: De-Silhouetting Stilettos by 2030’. June has worked in various capacities, before joining Keele University as Professor of Women’s Health.
